Building a collection for early transitioning readers in a school library
-
I worked to build a collection for young readers who are transitioning out of the early readers books but have not yet reached chapter books. I worked with the librarian at Summitt Elementary School to apply for a grant which funded the book order and storage materials for the books. Through the use of Follett I was able to compile a list of book series that met our goal of diversity, inclusivity, and of course, exciting. ​
